Silicon nitride ceramic balls not only have the characteristics of high hardness, wear resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, and non-magnetic electrical insulation, but also high temperature resistance. They still have high strength and hardness at 1200℃. They have low expansion coefficient and high thermal shock resistance. They do not adhere to metal melt at high temperature and hardly react.

The silicon nitride grinding beads are advanced ceramic media engineered for high-performance milling and dispersion processes under extreme conditions. Made from premium Si₃N₄ material, these silicon nitride grinding beads combine exceptional hardness, wear resistance, and chemical stability, making them ideal for ultra-fine grinding of hard and abrasive materials. With a density of approximately 3.2 g/cm³ and a hardness of HV 1500–1650, the silicon nitride grinding beads maintain superior mechanical strength and structural integrity even at temperatures up to 1200 °C.
Their outstanding bending strength (750–1000 MPa) and high thermal conductivity (20–25 W/m·K) allow for efficient energy transfer and minimal heat buildup during milling operations. The low thermal expansion coefficient ensures excellent thermal shock resistance, preventing cracking or deformation under rapid temperature changes. Additionally, the silicon nitride grinding beads are non-magnetic and electrically insulating, making them suitable for use in precision electronic materials and specialized chemical environments where metal contamination must be avoided.
Thanks to their strong resistance to acid, alkali, and oxidation, the silicon nitride grinding beads perform reliably in both wet and dry milling systems, including high-speed mixers and planetary ball mills. Their non-reactivity with molten metals and stable surface properties ensure long service life and consistent particle size distribution. Available in sizes ranging from 0.8 mm to 50.8 mm, the silicon nitride grinding beads deliver superior grinding efficiency, reduced media wear, and excellent product purity—an ideal choice for advanced ceramics, battery materials, pigments, and high-purity chemical applications.
